Since the beginning of the global pandemic, the FanX staff has held onto the hope that we would still be
able to host FanX 2020 this September. Our top priority has always been and will continue to be the
safety and well being of our FanX family - which, unfortunately, at this point in time, means postponing
FanX 2020. After discussions with community leaders, health officials, and the surge of COVID-19 cases
in Utah the past few weeks, we feel it’s in the best interest of our community to postpone.

SALT LAKE CITY — The FanX Salt Lake Comic Convention was back for its fall event last weekend, and cosplay was bigger than ever.
Cosplay, short for "costume play," was once considered an activity for geeks. Cosplayers would come to conventions in handmade costumes, celebrating their favorite comics and video games. Others would look at them, amused at the out-of-season Halloween parade. Now, cosplay is enjoyed by everyone.

(KUTV) — Imagine it: Boba Fett reading "Harry Potter"; the Hulk sitting on the toilet, or Darth Vader baking in the kitchen dressed in a Hufflepuff apron. An anonymous artist stole the show at FanX Salt Lake Comic Convention with this kind of parody art.
"It's hilarious and people love it, " Nick Meagher, an employee of I Am Parody Art told 2News. "It's very fun to sell because people get such a kick out of it every time they come by. People just throw their heads back laughing."
