Charisma Carpenter

Charisma Carpenter is an American actress best known for her role as Cordelia Chase on Buffy the Vampire Slayer and Angel. She has also appeared as a regular on TV shows like Veronica Mars, Malibu Shores, and The Lying Game and has starred in several TV movies.

Carpenter was born in Las Vegas, Nevada, and is named after a brand of perfume.  As a child, she took ballet classes and entered many local beauty contests. She attended high school at the Chula Vista School of Creative and Performing Arts, where she was a cheerleader. In 1991, she became a cheerleader for the San Diego Chargers football team and later moved to Los Angeles to pursue a career in entertainment.

She is best known for her roles on popular television programs. In 1996, she landed her first regular role on Malibu Shores. She is best known, however, for portraying Cordelia Chase on Buffy the Vampire Slayer and its spin-off, Angel.

Carpenter starred on a number of other popular TV shows, including Veronica MarsGreek, and The Lying Game, and has also appeared in episodes of Boy Meets WorldHey Arnold!Miss MatchCSI: Crime Scene InvestigationBurn NoticeBlue Bloods, and Supernatural – alongside Buffy co-star James Marsters.

Carpenter is a versatile actress and has appeared in nearly a dozen made-for-TV movies in a wide variety of genres, including comedy, horror, thriller, and mystery. She is also recognized for her work in the Expendables movie franchise.
