Henry Winkler


Best known for the character Fonzie from Happy Days, Henry Winkler started his acting career by appearing in TV commercials.  He then made appearances on The Mary Tyler Moore Show and The Bob Newhart Show.  In 1973 he shot to fame when he was cast for the role of Arthur Fonzarelli or “The Fonz” in the long-running 1970s television series Happy Days. During his decade on Happy Days, Winkler also starred in a number of movies, expanding his film career.

After Happy Days ended, Winkler concentrated on producing and directing.  Within months, he opened Winkler-Rich Productions and produced such shows as MacGyverSo WeirdMr. Sunshine Sightings, and Hollywood Squares. He also directed several movies including the Billy Crystal Movie Memories of Me, and Cop and a Half with Burt Reynolds.

More recent film projects include appearing in Royal Pains (2010) as the father of the two main characters and Here Comes the Boom (2012), as the music teacher at Wilkinson High School.

Winkler is the recipient of 4 Golden Globe awards and 7 Daytime and Primetime Emmy Awards.
