In 1983 Marvel Comics published The Marvel Try-Out Contest. Mark entered and won first place. Mark’s first published work was for Marvel’s New Universe’s Nightmask.
During his long career, Mark has worked on virtually every Marvel title, with successful runs on titles such as The New Warriors and The Thunderbolts. He is best known for his work on The Amazing Spider-Man and his and Brian Bendis’ record-setting run on Ultimate Spider-Man.
Mark also worked at DC on such titles as Batman, Trinity, and Justice League. He returned to Marvel and The Death Of Ultimate Spider-Man. His most recent projects include stints on The Fantastic Four, The Hulk, and The X-men and he is currently working on a Venom miniseries and drawing Spider-man with Dan Slott writing.
