Robin David Segal is an American actor, voice actor, director, singer, and educator. He is best known as the voice of Beast in the Disney animated film Beauty and the Beast and its numerous sequels and spin-offs and directed several episodes of the popular sitcom Friends.
Benson made his Broadway debut in The Rothschilds. Benson had an early role in the daytime soap Search for Tomorrow. As a film actor, Benson was well known for teenage roles in coming-of-age films, such as Jory, 1973’s Jeremy, and as Billy Joe McAllister in Ode to Billy Joe. He was also in Batman: The Animated Series, The Magic Schoolbus TV show, Sabrina the Teenage Witch, Avonlea, He was also the voice of the Dragon, in Dragonheart: A New Begining, the voice of the young Santa Claus in The Life & Adventures of Santa Claus, and also starred in The Legend of Prince Valiant TV series with fellow FanX® SLCC18 guests Paige O’Hara, and Tim Curry.
