Sofia Milos


Sofia Milos is a Swiss-born Italian/Greek actress. She is best known for her role as Colombian detective Yelina Salas on CSI: Miami. She has also had recurring roles on The Sopranos as Mafia Boss Annalisa Zucca, as well as Curb your Enthusiasm, Friends, ER, and many more.

Sofia Starred in her most favorite film PASSIONADA as the Portuguese Fado Singer CELIA AMONTE.

Milos was born in Zurich, Switzerland, to an Italian father and a Greek mother. The family moved to Rome, Italy when she was a child. She grew up with a French Nanny, Greek Mom, and Italian Dad.  In her teens, she entered a local beauty pageant, and after winning first prize went on to win the provincial, regional and national contests as well. Sofia modeled for ten years for several top magazines and designers such as Vogue, Annabelle, and Voila to name a few. Sofia has a major in Business and Economics.  Milos studied acting at the Beverly Hills Playhouse in the United States under acting coach Milton Katselas.

Sofia’s first acting role was in 1992 in the new WKRP IN CINCINNATI,as a novice nun. Her first film role was in a film called INSIDE OUT as Kristin, a literature student. Sofia’s first prime time TV break was on NBC in ’93 – ’94 as the fiery supermodel FABIANA BORELLI in the sitcom CAFE AMERICAN, co-starring Valerie Bertinelli and Maurice Godin. Then she was on came FRIENDS, MAD ABOUT YOU, NBC’s sitcom CAROLINE IN THE CITY as JULIA KARINZKY, LADIES MAN opposite to Tim Meadows. Sofia worked under the direction of Jim Abraham’s in JANE AUSTIN’S MAFIA!. Sofia was recently in the TV series 1600 Penn as Madame Milbert.

Sofia speaks English, Italian, French, and German fluently and can also carry on a conversation in Greek and Spanish. She loves to collect fine watches and loves chocolate. Sofia’s philosophy is to, “Never pray for it to be easier; pray to be stronger! make yourself stronger, study, work hard, and succeed!
