Eoin Christopher Macken is an Irish actor, filmmaker, author, and model is best known as Doc Resident Evil: The Final Chapter, Dr. TC Callahan in Night Shift, and Gwaine in Merlin.
Macken was born in Dublin, he began his modeling and acting career at University College Dublin’s Fashion Show. His first major film role was in Studs with Brendan Gleeson. He went on to play leading roles in indie films Triple Bill and Rise of the Bricks. After joining the Attic studio of drama he spent some time in Los Angeles, where he directed the well-regarded short Dreaming For You about young acting hopefuls in Tinseltown, in addition to completing his psychology degree. Back in Ireland he directed and shot a second film, psychological thriller Christian Blake, which premiered at the Mid Ulster Film Festival, before playing in the Galway Film Fleadhas well as appearing in serial drama Fair City.
