It’s been said of me that I was born with a pencil in my hand! I started drawing cartoon characters ( Hanna-Barbera characters that were popular when I was a toddler in the early 1960s)! This love for those characters which expanded into love for the creations of other studios grew as I was growing up! Upon reaching adulthood, I began my educational journey in my pursuit to become an animator! These centers of higher learning included the prestigious Ringling School of Art in Sarasota, FL, and the super prestigious California Institute of the Arts in Valencia, CA. After earning my BFA in Character Animation, I immediately began working for animation giant Hanna-Barbera Productions Inc. in Hollywood. This was followed by employment at just about all the major studios in the Los Angeles area. Among the most prominent of these was Walt Disney Animation and Warner Brothers Animation. The job categories I held are just about as many as the studios I worked for. At Disney, I was employed first as a Character Layout Artist on “The Lion King’s Timon and Pumbaa” TV series and the second time as a Storyboard Artist on “ Mickey’s Mouseworks” and “House of Mouse”. Over at Warner Brothers, I was employed as a Character Designer on the iconic “Animaniacs “ and “Pinky and the Brain” TV series. It was here that I earned 4 Daytime Emmy Awards. Afterward, I ventured out of Hollywood and began my illustration and caricaturing as well as continuing my animation work. I also began appearing at several comic cons and other pop culture events across the United States as a Guest Artist!
