Hammer is a Crow from THE WOLF AND THE CROWS. Hammer is someone who every man of the Watch is proud to call Brother. One of Castle Black’s hardest Rangers, any Crow would be relieved to have at his back in a fight. When Mance Raydar attacked The Wall, Hammer was the very man who released the Scythe which cleaved scores of Wildling climbers from the face of the immense ice structure. When Samwell Tarly stood and put Jon Snow forward for the position of Lord Commander, Hammer stands alongside Tarly and agrees ardently with his arguments. At Hardhome, Hammer was put in command of the boats that would transport the Wildlings to the safety, a task which became exceptionally harder when The Night King’s Army attacked. When Jon Snow was stabbed by Alliser Thorne, Hammer was one of the first men to come across his lifeless body and, along with Ser Davos Seaworth, guarded Jon’s body from Ser Alliser and the rest of the treacherous Night’s Watch high command. In the day that followed, Hammer was there to see the lifeless body of the man he protected rise from the dead. In the penultimate season of Game of Thrones, Hammer was there to pull the sledge of Bran Stark through The Wall. In the final season of Game of Thrones Hammer once again fought the Night King and the hordes of Wights that attacked Winterfell. Before the battle, Hammer’s experience in battling the Dead would prove integral to many a person’s survival. After The Long Night Hammer returned to The Wall, to live out his days as a Legendary Brother of The Night’s Watch, being an inspiration for newly arrived criminals to change their ways.
