Kevin Conroy

Kevin Conroy is an American stage, screen and voice actor best known for his work as the voice of Batman in the popular 1990s television show Batman: The Animated Series and its spin-offs. He also voices the Caped Crusader in the Batman: Arkham video game franchise, many films in the DC Animated Universe and more than 30 other animated projects. Conroy is a graduate of the Juilliard School of Drama, where he was a roommate of comedian Robin Williams. He toured the country as a stage actor with The Acting Company, Houseman’s Acting Group, Ira Levin’s Deathtrap and the Old Globe Theater in San Diego, California. In the 1978, Conroy made the transition into screen acting. Throughout his career as a TV actor, he appeared on programs such as Search for TomorrowDynastyMatlockOharaTour of DutyCheers and Murphy Brown, among many others.

He is most well-known for being the voice of Batman in animated TV shows, films and video games. Conroy starred as the voice of Batman and Bruce Wayne in the classic 1990s program Batman: The Animated Series, which ran from 1992 – 1995. Conroy reprised the role of the Dark Knight and his alter-ego in spin-offs that included Batman BeyondThe New Batman Adventures and Batman Beyond. Conroy has assumed the voice of Batman in over 30 projects within the DC Animated Universe, including television programs (Justice LeagueSuperman and Static Shock, among others) and more than a dozen films and TV shorts. The popular Batman: Arkham video game series also utilized Conroy’s talents; he provides the voice for Batman and Bruce Wayne in Batman: Arkham Asylum and Batman: Arkham City. In March 2014, it was announced that Conroy would also star as the leading voice of next year’s next-gen game Batman: Arkham Knight.
