Heather Laurie Holden is an American-Canadian actress and producer, born in Los Angeles and raised in Toronto. She is known for her roles as Andrea in AMC’s hit television series The Walking Dead, Agent Mulder’s mysterious informant Marita Covarrubias in The X-Files, and Olivia Murray in The Shield. She has also starred in many feature films, including Fantastic Four, Silent Hill, Bailey’s Billion$ and upcoming comedy sequel Dumb and Dumber 2. She pursued a Master of Human Rights degree at Columbia University and actively produces film, theatre and television projects in addition to her acting pursuits.
Early in her career, the lovely Holden made a name for herself by costarring opposite Burt Reynolds in Physical Evidence (1989), Vanessa Redgrave in Young Catherine (1991), and William Shatner in the TV Movie TekWar: TekLab (1994). A graduate of UCLA and recipient of the Natalie Wood Acting Award, Holden often collaborates with Walking Dead director Frank Darabont, working with him on the cast of The Majestic with Jim Carrey, the adaptation of Stephen King’s The Mist, and, of course, The Walking Dead. She’s had major roles in other television series like The Martian Chronicles and The Magnificent Seven (opposite Ron Perlman and Michael Biehn) and guest appearances on Due South, Murder She Wrote, Poltergeist: The Legacy and The Outer Limits.
