Warwick Ashley Davis is an English actor, television presenter, writer, director, and producer. He played the title characters in Willow and the Leprechaun film series, the Ewok Wicket in Star Wars Episode VI: Return of the Jedi and Professor Filius Flitwick and Griphook in the Harry Potter films. Davis also starred as a fictionalized version of himself in the sitcom Life’s Too Short, written and directed by Ricky Gervais and Stephen Merchant.
Warwick has also been in Solo: A Star Wars Story, The Star Wars Rebels TV Series, Star Wars: Episode VIII – The Last Jedi, Rouge One: A Star Wars Story, Star Wars: The Force Awakens, and Star Wars I: The Phantom Menace as well as The Ewok Adventure, and Ewoks: The Battle for Endor. He was in BBC’s Prince Caspian and The Silver Chair TV Series as well as The Chronicles of Narnia: Prince Caspian Feature Film. He as in The 10th Kingdom TV Mini-Series, Dwarves Assemble TV Mini-Series, and Lifes Too Short TV Series, Hitchhikers Guide to the Galaxy, Ray, The Entire Universe and Get Santa. He has also guest starred in episodes of Extras, Merlin, Catherine Tate’s Nan, Dr. Terrible’s House of Horrible, and ‘Nightmare in Silver‘, an Episode of Doctor Who written by Neil Gaiman.
In addition to his acting career, Davis co-founded, with fellow dwarf actor and father-in-law Peter Burroughs, the talent agency Willow Management, that specializes in representing actors under five feet tall and over seven feet tall who had suffered from being confined to “niche” roles. Many of Davis’s co-stars and fellow dwarf actors from Star Wars, Willow, Labyrinth, and the Harry Potter series are represented by the agency. He also is a founder of the Reduced Height Theatre Company, which stages theatrical productions cast exclusively with short actors and using reduced height sets.
He will be in Horrible Histories: The Movie with Nick Frost, and Moominvalley with Kate Winslet in 2019.
