(Herald Extra) PROVO — Though starring as Kate Austen in the television series “Lost” provided a jump start to her career as an actress, it’s definitely not the only strong female role Evangeline Lilly has brought to life.
Lilly also starred as the Silvan Wood-Elf Tauriel in “The Hobbit” film series and as Hope van Dyne in the 2015 Marvel film “Ant-Man.” Now she’s gearing up to meet fans of all her roles as a guest at FanX: Salt Lake Comic Convention 2018, set for Sept. 6-8 at the Salt Palace Convention Center in Salt Lake City.
According to FanX co-founder Dan Farr, bringing Lilly to the convention has been a process many years in the making.
According to Farr, he met Lilly at a signing event for her books, which include “The Squickerwonkers” and “The Squickerwonkers — Vol. 2: The Demise of Selma the Spoiled,” projects she collaborated on with Johnny Fraser-Allen, who did the artwork. Farr said Fraser-Allen was a part of Weta Workshop, who Lilly met during her time working on “The Hobbit,” bringing the project full circle in regard to her career (…)
