The Spectrum: Excuse me, but Evangeline Lilly is coming to Salt Lake’s FanX

(Deseret News) SALT LAKE CITY —  We’re just a couple of months into the year, but I’ve already received some amazing news from the FanX Salt Lake Comic Convention camp: “Ant-Man and the Wasp” star Evangeline Lilly will be gracing Utah with her presence.

Although fans will, no doubt, know and love her as Hope Van Dyne in the “Ant-Man” movies (as I do), or Tauriel the elf in “The Hobbit” trilogy, or Kate Austen in “Lost,” there’s another project Lilly has under her belt that holds more importance to her than acting.

“I got to meet her at San Diego Comic Con,” FanX co-founder Bryan Brandenburg told me. “She was down there promoting her book, which she’ll be doing at our show,”

That book is “The Squickerwonkers,” a dark story of a spoiled little girl named Selma who ends up falling in with a group of marionettes that teach her she’s not always going to get her way (…)
