FanX Family,

Our thoughts and prayers go out to everyone as we all have been impacted by recent world and local events. In this unprecedented time, it is hard to know what to expect and what we can do (or not do) to make a difference. We wanted to share a few thoughts with you and reassure you that we are still moving forward at full speed with plans for the Sept 17-19th FanX event.

We at FanX commit to doing our part to help our community in various ways. Since last week, the FanX staff has been actively contributing from home to help with social distancing. During this time, Even though we are not physically together, we are all still working towards what we plan to be our best event ever. We will continue to post any event updates and announcements through our official channels. During this time, the FanX online community will still be joining forces to discuss all our favorite pop culture and comic topics. In our FanX Challenge Facebook group, we will be posting some fun, nerdy at-home workouts and ideas, and we encourage people to do the same. We will also be posting tabletop gaming suggestions, movies and TV shows to binge, Cosplay tips and tricks, esports games, and more on all our main social media channels.

We all can be superheroes during these times by helping to “flatten the curve.” Likely the most important thing we can do is to practice social distancing as much as possible and follow city and state guidelines. We also need to stay healthy, take necessary precautions, and practice healthy habits, so we can help others in the community around us. It is important right now to be extra thoughtful, understanding, and patient. We can be our neighborhood’s superheroes!

We have seen so many people helping out others on our social media pages, and we are so grateful for everyone’s kindness to one another. We truly are blessed to be able to still communicate and support each other through social media and other platforms. Just like The Avengers and Justice League, we are stronger united.

We would like to say thank you to all our local heroes who have helped with the aftermath of the earthquake which transpired in Salt Lake City Wednesday morning as well as the leaders who are helping to navigate through these tough times. We appreciate all the people who have selflessly helped the city and those in need. We can’t wait to celebrate the victory over all the monumental challenges and our love of pop culture with you in September. We think Green Lantern said it best when he said, “no matter how bad things get, something good is out there, over the horizon.”
